More than 2,400 babies are delivered annually at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Although most women delivering at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital are low-risk, specialized technical and emergency support is available on-site for any newborn who may require extra care or immediate attention. Our Perinatal Center provides services to high-risk mothers and our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is able to care for babies without needing to transport them to another facility. We offer 24-hour breastfeeding support while in the hospital. In addition, a home visitation program is available for all mothers who live in Santa Barbara.
