Cottage offers the full range of maternity services, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postnatal services, to ensure that mom and baby get the highest level of care.

More than 2,400 babies are delivered annually at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Although most women delivering at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital are low-risk, specialized technical and emergency support is available on-site for any newborn who may require extra care or immediate attention.

Our Perinatal Center provides services to high-risk mothers and our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is able to care for babies without needing to transport them to another facility. We offer 24-hour breastfeeding support while in the hospital. In addition, a home visitation program is available for all mothers who live in Santa Barbara.

Before your due date, our maternity tours and classes help you and your family prepare for childbirth and welcoming your new baby. Childbirth classes include a comprehensive Childbirth Preparation Series and Dad’s Boot Camp.
