Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital's Annual Health Fair and Flu Shot Clinic   Saturday, October 1, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Hotel Corque, 400 Alisal Rd., Solvang Free!   Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital will hold its 29th Annual Health Fair on Saturday, October 1.   Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, the focus of this year’s event is “The best protection is early detection”. Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital’s new state-of-the-art digital mammography system opened for service in the new Medical/Surgical and Advanced Radiology wing of the hospital in March.   The health fair is a free event to the community and to vendors wishing to participate.
The health fair will again have the FREE flu shot clinic with 500 flu shots available only to adults 18 and over—this shot is not for pregnant women or children.   As always, we will offer coupons for discounted laboratory services, and discounted mammography and bone scan appointments. More than 30 booths will be setup from community organizations and departments of the hospital. There will be a free continental breakfast, giveaways and a live radio broadcast by MIX 96.7   The event is sponsored each year by the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Foundation.
