Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital
  • Q1 2013   —  Completion of Surgery areas, Laboratory and new Emergency Department areas
  • Q3 2013   —  Completion of new entrance canopies, Admitting and balance of existing ED remodel

 

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital

  • Now through Apr 2013  — Demolition of the original North Wing
  • June 2013–July 2014  —  Construct ‘link building’ creating pathway from the new buildings and Centennial Wing to the South and East wings
  • September 2013–July 2014  —  Build new conference rooms on the first floor of the East Wing
  • August–December 2014  —  Prepare buildings for demolition of Central, Reeves and West Wings and build temporary walls to separate patient care areas from construction
  • December 2014–July 2015  —  Demolition of the Central, Reeves and West wings
  • June–July 2015  —  Shoring to protect the historic Moreton Bay fig tree on Pueblo St.
  • April–September 2015  —  Rebuild exterior walls where South and Centennial wings converge
  • 2015–2018  —  Centennial Wing expansion and construction of the additional new patient pavilion

While a large portion of the new Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is now open and serving the community, there’s still work to be done to complete the new hospital. Part of that includes demolishing existing buildings and carefully partitioning patient care areas as the third new patient pavilion is constructed.
