Joint replacement surgery consists of removing part or all of a damaged joint, typically caused by osteoarthritis, and then replacing it with a new artificial joint.
Our physicians and care teams are committed to finding the right treatment that fits your lifestyle and desires. Non-surgical interventions which can consist of anti-inflammatory and pain medications, as well as physical and occupational therapy are often the first line treatments for painful joints. Joint replacement is a personal decision that is best made by the patient in consultation with an orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement surgery.
