Staff 

The staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH) includes 13 full-time and 2 part-time board-certified radiologists. They perform more than 70,000 diagnostic examinations annually.

Equipment

SBCH’s state-of-the-art Diagnostic Radiology Department houses:

	•	four digital General Electric radiologic and fluoroscopic rooms
	•	a dedicated digital Phillips angiography suite
	•	two additional digital multipurpose special procedures rooms
	•	a Lorad prone digital stereotactic breast biopsy unit
	•	16-, 8-, and 6-slice multidector General Electric Lightspeed CT scanners
	•	three fully upgraded Acuson ultrasound systems.

Located in the Cottage Community Magnetic Resonance Center adjacent to the hospital are:

Two 1.5 Tesla magnetic resonance scanners

PACS was installed in 1998. The radiology department is entirely filmless with the exception of mammography.
