Premium Medical Benefits
At Cottage we take care of our employees and their families with our top-of-the line medical and dental insurance. Employees have the flexibility to choose one of our three PPO plans that best meets their individual needs. We also provide two dental plans that cover both basic and major treatment.
Housing Assistance At Cottage Health System, we want our employees to find harmony in both their work and home lives. We provide a Mortgage Assistance Program that helps first-time buyers finance their down payment. Cottage employees also benefit from the Coastal Housing Partnership that offers discounts on the commissions and fees associated with purchasing a home.
New employees in designated difficult-to-recruit positions are also eligible for a one-time rental assistance bonus of up to $3,000 to assist with first month's rent and security deposits.
Relocation Assistance
Cottage realizes that not all talented healthcare professionals already live in Santa Barbara. In order to help those just moving to our beautiful city, we offer our on-the-move employees relocation assistance of up to $1,500 for in-state or $3,000 for out-of-state moves.
Contributory Pension Plan
Our unique Cash Balance Retirement Plan allows employees to contribute up to 25% of their own salary to the plan after one year of employment. Cottage provides a base benefit of 2% and matches employee contributions dollar for dollar up to 3%. Interest is paid on all contributions and a vesting schedule applies.
Tax Savings Account
Our tax sheltered annuity program is a flexible investment plan, much like an Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Employees may set aside a specific amount of money each pay period. These funds will accrue interest and federal and state income taxes are deferred until retirement.
