Cottage Health System Family Fitness Fair Eat Well, Move Well, Live Well   Saturday, February 23, 2008 9:00 am to 1:00 pm East Cabrillo Boulevard (between Garden Street and Calle Cesar Chavez)

Join us for the 2nd Annual Family Fitness Fair, which is being held in conjunction this year with the Amgen Tour of California Stage 6 Start. The event will take place on East Cabrillo Boulevard between Garden Street and Calle Cesar Chavez at the Chase Palm Park soccer fields.

The fair will include nearly 30 health-oriented businesses, non-profit agencies, and entertainers for an outdoor extravaganza of information, products, and festivities.

Health, fitness, and nutrition information will be available from a variety of exhibitors. Cottage Health System will have booths representing their Diabetes Management, Nutrition, Rehabilitation Institute, and Therapy Services departments. Other community organizations present will represent areas such as fitness centers, dance studios, gymnastic centers, martial arts, fitness for older adults, local gardens, and health insurance for low income families.

Delicious healthy food along with low-cost bike helmets and pedometers will be available. There will be a chance for everyone to win fun prizes with the free raffle. Kids will especially enjoy face painting, inflatable jumpers, and arts & crafts. Parents will receive exercise tips, recipes, and nutrition information. Presentation and demonstrations will occur throughout the event to educate families.
