  • Directions
  • Combine beef, hoisin sauce, chili sauce, and black pepper in a large resealable plastic bag. Marinate 30 minutes to overnight.
  • Preheat broiler to high heat. (Alternatively, a grill may be used.) Thread skewers, alternating beef, bell pepper, and scallions.
  • Broil skewers 5-7 minutes, or until desired degree of doneness is achieved.

    Heat 2 teaspoons canola oil in a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 zucchini, sliced into 2-inch by ½-inch strips, and sauté 4 minutes. Add 1 minced garlic clove, 2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce, and cook 1 minute. Sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon sesame seeds and serve.
