Cottage Physician Honored

Dr. Stephen Hosea, a Cottage physician since 1981, was one of three recipients of the 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Santa Barbara News-Press.

Dr. Hosea is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, and his many positions at SBCH include the chair of the Infection Control Committee, director of Clinical Care for the Internal Medicine residency program, and chair of the Medical Education Supervisory Committee. And he has been voted Physician of the Year by the nursing staff.

The News-Press recognized Dr. Hosea for his community service and leadership in areas such as AIDS and hospice care. He has also been honored by the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics with their "Health Care Hero" award. Congratulations on another well-deserved honor!
