Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital's Stroke Program was awarded the first Joint Commission Advanced Stroke Certification on the Central Coast, and we have the only neuroscience program in the region with advanced stroke technology and an endovascular neurosurgeon capable of advanced stroke care.

Medical Director Dr. Jones is a prominent local neurosurgeon who has been in practice for 28 years. Dr. Jones is also a steadfast advocate of healthcare reform, who has a strong belief in providing the highest-quality care possible for every dollar spent on health care.   The Board of Directors at the not-for-profit Cottage Health System has identified the neurosciences as a top priority to meet the future healthcare needs of the Central Coast and surrounding areas.
