Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital's 30th Annual Health Fair and Flu Shot Clinic   Saturday, October 6, 10:00 a.m.  to 12:30 p.m. New location: Santa Ynez Valley Marriott , 555 McMurray Road, Buellton (map >) Live broadcast from MIX 96.7!   This year the event will feature a drawing for 30 giveaway bags filled with great surprises in celebration of the 30th year of the event.   The event provides free seasonal flu shots (not for pregnant women and children under the age of 18). In addition, the Health Fair offers coupons for discounted laboratory services and appointments for discounted mammography and Dexa bone scans at SYVCH.  Free continental breakfast will be served.   The Health Fair is a free community-wide event sponsored by Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Foundation and provides residents with informational booths on health-related services and community resources from more than 40 local community and nonprofit organizations.

FREE SEASONAL FLU SHOTS
•	NO vaccines to children under 18 years of age and pregnant women. Vaccines given on a first come, first serve basis.

LOW-COST SCREENINGS
•	DIGITAL MAMMOGRAM — $174 A limited number of discounted screening-only mammograms will be available. Examination performed by a female technologist. Payment due at time of service and insurance not accepted for these discounted services. To schedule an appointment, call 686-3967.
•	DEXA (Bone Density) SCREENINGS — $144 A limited number of discounted DEXA screenings will be available, using our state-of-the-art scanner. The non-invasive exam takes about 20 minutes. •	LIPID PANEL FOR HEART DISEASE — $23 This panel is used to evaluate the risk of developing or having developed heart disease. and includes testing for cholesterol, (HDL, LDL and triglycerides). (Fasting is recommended.) Pick up discount coupon at Health Fair Lab booth.
•	PSA BLOOD TEST — $32 This test is one part of the early detection of prostate cancer, the most common cancer among men. Pick up discount coupon at Health Fair Lab booth.
•	HEMOGLOBIN A1C (DIABETES SCREENING) — $20 Recommended by the American Diabetes Association for both diagnosing and monitoring diabetes. (Fasting not required.) Pick up discount coupon at Health Fair Lab booth.
