Empowerment through Medical Rehabilitation

An Educational Series

 

Each year Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation sponsors a public presentation by exceptional people on topics concerning medical rehabilitation and its empowering effects on the lives of people with disabilities.

 

The 2011 event featured Trisha Meili, the "Central Park Jogger," on survival and recovery following a traumatic injury.

 

Trisha Meili is the author of the best-seller I Am the Central Park Jogger: A Story of Hope and Possibility.

 

Meili told her amazing story of recovery following the violent attack in Central Park in 1989 that left her with traumatic brain injury. S he’ll describe the support she received and how it allowed her to move from victim to survivor, reclaim her life, and become whole.

This was the Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation's 3rd Annual Empowerment through Medical Rehabilitation, an educational series that benefit the programs and services of Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital.
