Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Patients are seen by appointment only. Most insurance companies will require prior authorization to see us. We usually are able to obtain this authorization before your visit. Please check with your PCP or insurance plan to see if prior authorization is needed. Please arrive 30 minutes before your first appointment time to complete the required paperwork. Please bring a list of your child's medications to your appointment. Your pharmacy can assist with this list. So that we may better address your concerns, bring a list of issues, problems, or questions that you have and we can discuss them during the appointment.
It is very important to us to provide our patients with prompt access to care, so we ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide us with as much notice as possible. This allows us to accommodate another child.
It is very important to us to be responsive to your child's need. All messages are documented and triaged based on the information you provide. Our medical staff reviews all calls, and you will receive a call back from our office to discuss your phone call. Let us know the best time to reach you and the phone number you prefer.
After-hours Phone Calls
If your child is experiencing a significant change in their condition or medical emergency, please call 911 or contact your primary care physician. If you have questions specifically related to your child's GI condition, such as reactions to medications, difficulty with preparing for a procedure, or a significant change in the GI condition, then call us. We have a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week answering service for our patients.
In order to achieve the best possible treatment plan for your child, it is important that you communicate all of your child's problems and your concerns to us during the office visit. If there is a complex medical history and/or multiple problems, additional office visits may be necessary to properly address the plan and course of treatment and/or stabilize the condition.
Procedures, Tests, and Results
Tests and procedures ordered through our office will be reviewed at your next appointment. If there is a test result that requires action prior to your next visit, our office will contact you to discuss it.
Procedures requiring prior authorization, such as endoscopy, will be scheduled through our office. We will obtain the necessary approvals and book the date and time of the procedure with you.
Requests for medication and/or formula refills are handled during office hours. When possible, have your pharmacy fax us a refill request. They will contact our office for any necessary approval. If you think you need a new prescription for your medication, please tell us at the time of your visit. Please call at least three week days before your child's last dose of medication and/or formula. It is best that formula and/or medication refills are discussed during your regularly scheduled follow-up appointments. Be advised that some medication refills require an office visit.
Payments and Billing
We will bill your insurance company for you. Please keep us informed of any changes in your insurance coverage, address or phone numbers.
If you have questions about billing or charges, we will provide you with the number and fax of the billing department so that you may direct your questions to them.
