Cottage Presents the First Neurovascular Symposium of the Central Coast
In anticipation of the launch of its Cottage Center for Neurosciences, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital will host the first Neurovascular Symposium of the Central Coast on October 4, 2008 with the theme of Saving the Brain, at Fess Parker's DoubleTree Resort.
Physicians -- those specializing in emergency medicine, internal medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, and primary care, along with registered nurses and other healthcare practitioners will gather at this content-rich symposium to discusscurrent & emerging management options for cerebrovascular diseases; neuroimaging techniques used in the diagnosis, treatment & management of cerebrovascular diseases; key concepts for the nursing care of the neurovascular patient; the rehabilitation process for the neurovascular patient; recent advances in basic neuroscience research; along with others.
The directors of the program are Philip Delio, MD, Director of Stroke Services/Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and Alois Zauner, MD, Medical Director of the Neurovascular Services at Cottage Hospital. The event is supported in part by unrestricted educational grants from EKR Therapeutics, Innerspace, and Sanofi-Aventis.
